In this website you will be able to find almost anything that you might want to make your outdoor leisure time a pleasant one. Granted, we can’t cover of the desires of everyone but we can really, really try!
Throughout the coming season new subjects will be added and hopefully will broaden the interest span to include more and more people throughout the country….and hopefully the world!
Things to think about now:
Clean out the gutters, Pack away the summer things, get the firewood in and clean out the chimney!
One other very important thing: Put the tire chains into the car along with a tarp and a bucket for the wet and sloppy chains…!
There is a bit that I would like to add to this post: Bailing wire! If you are one of those frugle types, (As am I!) you have saved some of that all but vanished commodity, Bailing Wire. This is one of rual America’s greatest disasters since the advent of Poly Propelene cord which has replaced wire for tying up hay bales. As urban folks may not know, all manner of emergency repairs on farms and ranches were made with this handy item. So what does this have to do with tire chains? Bailing Wire will save your bacon if you should break a link or need to shorten up the fit or capture a flopping chain end.
Don’t have any B.W. ? Consult your local hardware store, they have all sorts of wire in handy spools. Note: Also, 2 must haves: pliars and wire-cutters.
Have a happy and trouble -free Winter!
